Description
Provides leadership, in collaboration with the Regional Chief Financial Officer, to facilitate optimal utilization of resources. Promotes understanding and cooperation between the physicians and Region through communication, collaboration and education. Facilitates improvements in clinical practice to achieve better performance, improved cost, reduced length of stay, fewer readmissions, and superior patient care. Assists Administration in reducing financial risks associated with denials that are due to providing medically unnecessary or preventative services and extended length of stays.
Education
- M.D. or D.O. required.
- MBA, MPH, MHA or similar management degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 5 or more years of related experience.
Licensure/Certification/Special Training
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
- ABQAURP or similar certification preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of InterQual, Milliman and similar guidelines.
