- Reporting to the Executive Director of Quality and Patient Safety, you will be responsible for executing our comprehensive Quality strategic plan.
- This will involve working with key UCLA Health multidisciplinary stakeholders who are focused on elevating patient safety and improving healthcare quality and delivery.
- You will collaborate with clinicians, health system leaders, and others to deliver measurable improvement and outcomes that align with these six areas of patient care: reducing risk-adjusted mortality; improving process and outcome measures; implementing value-based care redesign; enhancing the patient experience; reducing preventable readmissions; and improving patient safety. You will serve as the clinical advisor for clinical pathway development and evidence-based best practices.
- You will also oversee the Quality Management Services staff in their mission to administer and improve clinical quality, clinical outcomes, clinical risk reduction, and patient safety.
Qualifications
- We’re seeking a self-motivated, results-driven strategic thinker with: Active RN CA license.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare profession, or a combination of comparable clinical education and/or experience required .
- Master’s degree in a healthcare-related discipline, preferred.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), highly desired.
- Five or more years of experience in quality improvement/management, required.
- Five or more years of increasingly responsible leadership experience, required .
- Expertise in goal setting/execution, advancement of quality improvement, problem-solving, change management, and consensus building.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills Experience presenting to the media and to the public preferred.
- In-depth involvement with national and regional healthcare organizations.
- Sound judgment and strong decision-making abilities.
- A genuine passion for quality care and patient safety.
- Experience facilitating clinical quality improvement teams.
- Experience consulting, coaching, and mentoring clinicians and management.
