Description

The Center for Progressive Wellness is a substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders capable program that offers comprehensive, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and personalized treatment services for youth, ages 12 through 17. We are seeking a Business Development Specialist (BD Specialist) to join our Wellness Team who has high ethical standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of youth with substance use disorders, their families, and communities. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the BD Specialist is primarily responsible for proposing, developing, and implementing marketing and admissions initiatives. This position will collaborate with our corporate office and assist with the overall company strategic marketing and admissions plan while primarily marketing to the company’s geographic area’s Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and Behavioral Health (BH) professionals and industry.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/ Experience

A qualified candidate must possess one (1) of the following:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development working within the Substance Use Disorders and/or Behavioral Health population is required;
  • Formal marketing education and/or sales experience.

License or Certification

  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification

Specialized Skills

  • Familiarity with the services provided by an SUD and/or BH outpatient treatment facility.
  • Ability to adapt to and work within the firm’s culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing work assignments.
  • Working knowledge of Google Docs, internet research, and website marketing.
  • Ability to manage media accounts and content that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages community members and partners to engage with the program.
