Function/Duties of Position
Senior Clinical Research Associate position in the MS Program, Department of Neurology. Responsibilities for this role include management of study budgets and contracts with internal and external investigators and Contract Research Organizations (CRO), as well as working with department partners to maintain invoicing, study account reporting and account closures, and overseeing all clinical research done. In addition, this position’s duties include patient assessment for protocol eligibility and study enrollment, counseling and education of patients/families regarding study participation and compliance including treatment plan, drug administration and working with PI regarding evaluation and management of toxicity, and abstraction/coordination/collection of protocol required elements (data, specimens etc). This position requires independent performance of assignments of signficant complexity. This position will require schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in relevant field AND 5 years of clinical research coordination experience OR Bachelor’s degree in relevant field AND 9 years of clinical research coordination experience
- Knowledge of clinical research regulatory standards and guidelines
- Extremely well-organized
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle projects with competing deadlines and priorities
- Enjoy working in a team
- Able to work independently while being effective and efficient
- SoCRA or ACRP required within 12 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with procedures of the OHSU Institutional Review Board
- CITI Good Clinical Practice, Human Subjects Research, & Responsible Conduct of Research
