Provides leadership and direction to all physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) in their designated market to ensure the delivery of consistent quality medical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and leadership to AFC physicians and APPs
  • Maintain involvement in all aspects of provider recruitment activities and provider scheduling in conjunction with the market operational director and VP.
  • Collaboration and training of APPs
  • Maintain and communicate standards of care consistent with company philosophy and provider community standards
  • Monitor, report, and discuss with providers individual performance and conformance with company expectations on a regular basis
  • Serve as a model of professional care in all matters, especially in the diagnosis and management of disease
  • Investigate and address patient complaints regarding quality-of-care issues
  • Serve as lab director to the maximum allowed by the state of AFC centers
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  •  50% of the time will be scheduled as a clinical provider, 50% dedicated to CMO duties
  • As appropriate, serve as company representative to media and community regarding current medical issues
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Board-eligible or board-certified with M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Current medical licensure in appropriate states
  • Five years of clinical experience
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with current medical issues, trends and practices, and legal issues and trends which impact the medical community
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills including listening, negotiation, persuasion, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills
  • In-depth understanding of claims practices regarding coding
  • Demonstrated ability to present to provider, clinical, business, and public audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with providers and operational leaders
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
  • Data analysis skills, proficiency in current EMR and Microsoft Office
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on efficient and effective healthcare delivery
