Position Overview:
Contribute to the creation, review, and maintenance of Step 1 USMLE-style questions
Requirements:
- MD, DO or equivalent degree
- Board Certified in internal medicine or family medicine
- At least 1 year of experience writing and/or editing Step 1 USMLE style questions
- Strong question editing skills
- Broad medical content expertise
- Passion for medical education
Preferred:
- Advanced training or expertise in in USMLE style question writing
- Significant undergraduate medical education and/or clerkship teaching experience
- Course Director or Clerkship Director experience
- Understanding of question evaluation metrics
Qualities/Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong work ethic in remote work setting
- Thorough understanding of the pedagogy and content of medical education
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to effectively accept and implement constructive feedback
Responsibilities:
- Author and/or edit Step 1 USMLE-style questions for Boards & Beyond (B&B) video education series and other MH platforms
- Participate in (paid) question writing training sessions
- Collaborate with other question writer(s)/reviewer(s) who will be editing their work
