Description
Provides clinical support to patients in the Physician clinic under the provider's supervision. Provides continuity and coordination of care in the outpatient setting, including adolescents and adults.
Minimum Experience
Three (3) years of clinical office experience are required within the organization, or five (5) years of clinical office experience. Medical terminology and computer knowledge are required.
Certification/Licensure
Possess a current MA certification.
For New hires
Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification. CPR certification is required.
Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center. For New hires: Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification. CPR certification is required.
Medical Assistant II will be required to cross-train to work as a Front Office Representative, complete Prior Authorizations and Surgery Scheduling, and be responsible for the training and development of other clinical support staff.
