Corrona, LLC is now CorEvitas, LLC. This rebranding reflects both the evolution of the company as well as its vision for the future as the gold-standard leader in real-world evidence. Keeping the patient at the center of its data solutions, CorEvitas uncovers deep clinical insights from patient registries, patient experience and communities, biorepository samples, and claims data—all while leveraging a cloud-based secure technology platform, in order to advance patient care.

  • As a key member of the Corevitas Epidemiology team, the Clinical Epidemiologist provides strategic research leadership in consultation with clients and leads development of research questions and study design for observational epidemiologic studies
  • Critical skills for this position include communication, consultation, and collaboration skills needed to be an effective liaison to clients and Key Opinion Leaders, in addition to expertise in observational research methodologies (with some experience in pharmacoepidemiology), and the ability to function efficiently within the Epidemiology and Biostatistics teams working in a fast-paced environment
  • Specifically, this role is to provide epidemiologic input when performing the following tasks while working with clients: 1) translate ideas into feasible and robust research studies (queries) addressable using Corevitas registry data, 2) draft preliminary outlines of Statistical Analysis Plans (SAP) in collaboration with the Biostatistics group, 3) review and provide feedback on analytic reports prepared by the Biostatistics group, synthesizing results into meaningful summaries, and 4) develop messaging for research communications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts)

The Clinical Epidemiologist will play a role in the following functional capacities:

  • Assist in overseeing client subscriber projects across observational data registries
  • Serve as a thought leader for projects, which includes understanding the issues that impact clients, designing studies that address client needs, and crafting appropriate communication of research findings for the clients’ desired audience, often in collaboration with Corevitas Scientific Writers
  • Outline SAPs in collaboration with the lead biostatistician for the respective project, review the draft reports, and develop messaging and summarize findings in publications (e.g. abstracts, posters, podium presentations and manuscripts)
  • Consult, through weekly/monthly conference calls, with client teams and Key Opinion Leaders on research ideas and study designs that leverage Corevitas registry data
  • Develop original research ideas that are feasible and scientifically robust, and present them to subscribers so that a steady pipeline of active projects is maintained
  • Maintain familiarity with and adhere to Corevitas policies and procedures as they pertain to research development and publications (e.g. publication and authorship policies)
  • Develop an understanding of pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance and provide mentorship to colleagues with respect to research development within the Corevitas registry data (including study design, methodologic approaches and writing skills)
  • Participate and support internal company needs as directed by the Associate Scientific Director of Epidemiology
  • Represent Corevitas at subscriber meetings, professional meetings, symposia and trade shows
  • Additional duties may be assigned, either temporary or permanent, based upon company needs

  • Doctorate (PhD, DSc, ScD) in epidemiology (preferred) or other advanced degree with equivalent experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of epidemiology research experience (e.g. design, execution, publication of research) in a health research, medical or pharma setting; experience in observational research and/or pharmacoepidemiology preferred
  • Experience advising on research design and analysis within a health research environment
  • Strong communication skills, as well as proficiency in scientific writing
  • Experience and familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Completion of Human Subjects Protection (HSP) training (provided by Corevitas)

  • Remote position in the USA
