Quality Insights is currently searching for an experienced Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) to lead our Analytics, Science, and Innovation functions. The CMIO will lead the organization's digital transformation including the vision, strategy, and deployment of clinical and analytics information systems. S/he will collaborate with senior management, the Board of Directors, and across all functions within the organization to provide broad support to our efforts to develop and use data science and analytics to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and value of existing programs and new business opportunities.

The successful CMIO candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience conceiving, building and leading successful analytics programs utilizing key technologies (e.g., ML/AI) within healthcare organizations
  • Strong relationships with key government agencies (i.e. HHS, VHA, DHA) and organizations in the healthcare field
  • Ability to translate clinical experiences and realities of medical practice in to opportunity and vision for the future
  • Ability to direct the clinical-based activities of Quality Insights and serve as the representative of the organization in matters that involve medical analytic judgment and clinical integrity
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively articulate and represent Quality Insights strategy, products, and differentiators to external stakeholders and potential customers/key business partners

Education/Training Required:

Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Current, active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one US state or territory. Board certified physician. Additional formal training in data science/analytic fields strongly preferred.

Experience Required:

Fifteen (15) years' experience in the healthcare field, including 5-10+ years specifically focused on clinical informatics/analytics direction and management within health agencies/organizations. Direct experience with AI/ML technology is a must. At least ten (10) years of direct supervisory/management experience. Existing relationships with key federal agencies or industry organizations is preferred (i.e. CMS, VHA, and DHA).

Additional Requirements:

As the Chief Medical Informatics Officer, you'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute as you take on some tough challenges. However, the successful candidate will have the ability to travel as needed to partner/customer sites, conferences, etc. to support the position responsibilities and organizational directives.
